There’s something special about weddings that don’t go to plan, and Morgan and Jake’s day was the perfect example of how sometimes the best moments come from the unexpected.

As a Waikato based wedding photographer, you quickly learn that weather can do whatever it wants, and on this day, it definitely made its presence known.

Right on cue just as guests were seated and the bridal party arrived, the rain began.

Not a light drizzle, a proper downpour which got heavier as Morgan and Jake began their vows.

This is usually the moment couples stress the most, but Morgan and Jake handled it better than most. There was no panic, no frustration just trust in the process and understanding that it was beyond anyones control.

This made for some special photographs as their guests pulled in closer, umbrellas came out, and the atmosphere became even more intimate, And honestly? These are the moments that make a wedding unforgettable and storytelling through photographs even stronger.
